School going adolescent girls are being involved in hygiene and menstrual hygiene management. So far Samerth has reached out to 65 villages/locations.
Water testing for quality is ensured and the communities are taught simple ways of testing water for it purity, odour and bacteriological contamination. So far, in 40 villages we have reached out to 8,000 people. Samerth though this programme has reached out to more than 5000 people.
Micro-plans and resource plans are prepared by the community to map their water requirements and get it endorsed by the gram-panchayats for resource allocations to make the villages’ water secure and eventually water positive.
