SAMERTH is currently working in Rapar and Nakhtrana blocks of Kutch district and Deodar block of Banaskanta district and the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. SAMERTH also works in Bilaspur (Kota, Marwahi and Gaurella blocks), Mungeli (Lormi block) and Kwardha ( Bodla and Pandariya), Sarguja ( Lundra block) districts of Chhattisgarh.
The rural programme focus is on education for migrant workers' children, working for safe and sustainable drinking water facilities and sustainable livelihood practices. The thrust of the urban programme is to provide elementary education and linkages with the mainstream education system for the socially and economically backward groups children, especially girl child and developing leadership skills of women and adolescents girls and boys.
In Chhattisgarh, our main aim is to empower tribals through awareness generation on rights and the existing development schemes so that they are able to access developmental schemes for their benefits and betterment. Samerth has a vast coverage in the 4 districts of Chhattisgarh to reach out to the most unreached - such as Particularly Vulnerable Tribe Groups' to have access to education by monitoring the implementation of Right to Education Act- 2009 and enabling themselves to access various schemes and gain technical knowhow to make their habitations water secured for drinking purpose and creating farm based livelohoods.
